3D Caterpie Pokemon with guts spilling

At first this looks cute. But then upon a closer look, it is actually a chopped up Caterpie with guts, gore and blood spilling out. Technically, this should be what happens during the pokemon fights and before they get to go to the poke centre. When I was young, I was super obsessed with the game boy pokemon games, but never thought about how gory it actually is. So thanks to this customer, we ere enlightened about the dark side of pokemon. Still cute though, the blood is pink.

Motorola 2 way radio Cake 3D

This was made for client's colleagues working at Motorola. Did you know Motorola is most famous for their 2 way radio? Ok technically 2 way radio means there should be at least 2 of these. But since there's only a few of them, 2 would be overkill.
This is also the cake where I have to admit that I have really ugly handwriting.

Tom and Jerry Pop Out Cake

This was my childhood cartoon entertainment. Quite happy that it lasted till now since this customer made it for her young son. Turned out great where Tom looks very bewildered, his face is totally like 'eh, what happened?'  Had them hugging each other like best friends.

Legendary Pokemon Cake

Another free style cake. At first I wanted to just make the pokeball totally round, but it would be kinda small and there wouldn't be space for all my legendary birds.

This is my favourite figure. Was quite happy that all the figures didn't fall apart, cause they were all thin and only had some sugar to stick the parts together.

Best Sister Medal Cake

Jen wanted a cake for her sister that states best sister in the world. So a medal with 2 hearts with their names which were very long and had to be squeezed into the hearts.

Number 21 Flower Butterfly Cake

A flower garden in the shape of 21. We redid the butterflies on top as the ones we made before seems too big and cluttered the top. The lace border is crimped and then dusted shimmery pink. Can't really tell from the pic but its shimmery.

Red Play Station 3 Cake

I guess the most striking thing is the shiny metallic red colour of the cake. Was trying to replicate the metalness of the playstation 3. So painted on some lustre dust, but it become pink instead of red. So after a long time and many coats later, finally got this muted shade of red.

This was inspired from a Tiffany and Co gift box, and we just changed the logo to Friendship Box.

Hot Pink Chanel Clutch

This was quite a last minute order hence there was no time to make the chain strap. A bit boring as did the black version before, hence experimented with the upright version. Actually nailed in 2 dowels to make sure it won't fall over although it is quite small (but already have alot of nightmares about toppling cakes, so better be kiasu).  Then had fun with the spray paint gun to make it hot pink.

Angry Bird Screenshot Cake

Well, as there are already so many angry birds cake, wanted to make a more special one that captures the essence of the game itself. Hence the cake is modelled after a screeshot of the cake, with a background of clouds behind, and the red bird flying through the air to 'shoot' the pigs. The customer is my favourite type of customer, just told me she wanted an angry bird cake, fullstop, so I had free play with the design. Wanted to make one of those playable ones that you can actually shoot the birds at the pigs, but it was only 2kg and too small to make. Next time maybe.

Kobelco Excavator Cake

This is one of my heart attack cakes. There is no support system at all and the structure is quite big. The thing is that it is too small to build a wire support system, but it is rather big that I couldn't stop worrying that the arms will fall apart. Originally built rice krispie arms, but it looked so large and bulky and ugly that I redid it in gum paste and had only 1 night to dry it out. Was very relieved when it was over.
It was fun digging holes in the cake, vastly different from always making it perfectly smooth.
